May 21st 2005 Claremont inn 50th Reunion

The program started with Joe Salazar as our M. C. for the evening. Art Bederio W/55 did the Invocation. Following Art was Mr John Cervantes (teacher) who we all remember well. We then took a dinnner break.
After Dinner came Mr James Molina the present principal of Lincoln. Mr Molina told us the story of his days at Lincoln and his association with Mr Tunney. He Told us how Mr Tunney helped shape his life. He then introduced Mr Tunney who told a brief summary of his life and some jokes. Next Hector (ViVi) Avila S/55 presented a basketball signed by the members of the team.
We then switched M.C.'s and Art Sandoval W/55 introduced Mr Kenneth Kahn who wrote a book of his life at Lincoln. His book The Carny Kid profiles his days at the son of a drug dealer growing up in the Hazard park area. Mr Kahn is an Attorney and gave us some of his witty humor.
Dancing to the Armentas music came next. Boy can some of these old folks still boogie.
A student store was setup with items available to all attending. A drawing was held during the dancing and prizes awarded. About 225 people were in attendance for the dinner.
A champagne brunch was held on Sunday from 9am till 1pm. There were about 100 plus people who attended the brunch.
The Money left after expenses was ($2000) and was given as a scholarship, it has been awarded by Mr James Molina ( Principal Lincoln High) to Indira Villasana. She will be attending Mount St Maries College.
