David Comorre Lincoln High School Summer Class of 1955
After high school, I started to work for western Electric Company. I attended
Valley J.C. and El Camio J.C. and kept up my dancing. In March of 1957, I
received a dance scholarship from Marge and Gower Champion and performed on
their TV show. After that I was offerred a dance position on the "Perry Como
TV Show" in New York. I danced on the Perry Como Show for 2 years. Kraft then
became the sponsor of the show and wanted a whole new cast so my wife and I
(she was also a dancer) did a few CBS and NBC specials, as well as dancing 13
weeks with the "Tony Bennet" and "Bob Crosby" Shows. The weekly TV variety
shows were slowly being replaced so my wife and I moved back to California
and I went back to work for Western Electric. I was hoping something would
come up in the entertainment field, however nothing did, so I remained with
Western Electric and retired after 31 years of service. As one of the Louis
Da Pron Dancers, I've had the good fortune of performing and dancing with
many stars--Ginger Rogers, Ann Miller, Roy Rogers and Dale Evans, Vera Ellen,
Janis Page, Maureen O'Hara and many more. My dancing experience is something
I will always remember and cherish
